I was jobless, in poor health, healing from a devastating recent breakup, grieving the unexpected *even more* recent death of my Mom, and being asked to move out of the home in which I was staying temporarily with my ex and the woman with which she committed adultery. (I mean we were ONLY together 5 years) As more of a joke than anything, I applied for a job with a global child care as an infant teacher.
